CUSTOMIZED SEMINARS FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION
All of the following presentations can be “mixed and matched” and adjusted to target your unique situation. You focus the topic and determine who you want to participate. Presentations can also be combined with consultation time.
1. Understanding Churches’ Interests and Potential
Four categories of churches are described, based on their motivation, their potential, and what they want from agencies. This can be a general session for all staff (1-2 hours) and/or we can go in-depth with leaders as we talk about the ramifications for your organization.
2. Characteristics of an Agency That Truly Serves Churches
Agencies say they serve churches, but what does that look like? How do churches want and need to be served? How do missions provide that kind of help? This session focuses on practical things the agency can do to collaborate more effectively with churches in sending and sustaining global workers and ministry. This can be a 1-2 hour overview for everyone, it can be a follow-up to the organizational audit (see below), or it can be a half-day interactive leader session.
3. Developing Effective Church Partnerships
This session can be presented at a variety of levels. For leaders and church mobilizers, I do an intro session on what is happening in church partnerships, what is incorporated into the most successful ones, and what is needed if an agency is really serious about building major partnerships with local churches. I do more advanced sessions for those who have partnerships underway and want to discuss facilitation, trouble shooting, etc. Usually ½ - a full day.
4. Improving Personal Connections with Churches
Designed for missionaries and staff who raise support, this can be from 2 ½ hours to a full day of practical training on how to more successfully build bridges to local churches with emphasis on improving communication skills (verbal and written) for 21st century church constituencies.
