Catalyst has developed five workshops that walk a church through the process of discovering who God has made them to be, launching healthy relationships with partners, and sending the survey team. Each workshop includes a PowerPoint presentation with a video clip from a church sharing their FOCUS experience, and optional learning approaches. The materials can be adjusted, rearranged, used individually, or divided into shorter sessions to fit a diversity of church situations.
The implemen- tation section of the manual (also reproduced separately as the Your FOCUS on the World Implementation Guide) is approached topically rather than sequentially because of the wide variety of FOCUS initiatives. The facilitator’s resources include shorter modules of workshop material that can be used to help churches address some of the most common implementation challenges:
- Survey Trips--Planning a trip and preparing the participants
- Leadership—Developing your in-church FOCUS team
- Integration—Combining your FOCUS and other missions involvements
- Structure—Lay out an organizational structure that facilitates ministry and younger leaders
- Budgeting--Guidelines for balancing funding of both FOCUS and traditional missions efforts

TRAINING & RESOURCES PACKAGE
A 2-day training session includes all of the workshop resources and an overview of the materials. These sessions provide opportunities to dialog about various facilitation options and learn from what FOCUS author Ellen Livingood gleaned from interviewing well over 100 churches, facilitators, and other partners, and her experience in guiding churches in strategic FOCUS development. Materials include PowerPoints and training guidelines for all 10 sessions, video stories from FOCUSing churches, additional resources, and content downloads. Facilitators also receive follow-up help. Total cost: $369 for those intending to faciltate multiple churches; $295 for those intending to facilitate just their own church. Download the Facilitator Training flier.
